February Newsletter

Our 2008 season is in full swing as we start production for our upcoming production of Move Over, Mrs. Markham.  This farce, written by Ray Cooney and John Chapman will be directed by Sophie Hall and promises to have you laughing till you hurt!

It will be held at the Osgoode Community Centre on May 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th, 9th and 10th.  Please note that May 3rd is our dinner theatre, being served up by Joe Micucci.  Our dinner theatre menu will be available to you soon and if you are interested in attending please order early as it is always a sell-out!

Tickets for all performance dates will be going on sale in March and we encourage you to order early as tickets are reserved seating and are on a first come first serve basis.

NEW THIS SEASON FOR PATRON RESERVATIONS

There has never been a better time to consider becoming an ITR Patron. If you take out a gold or corporate membership you have the opportunity to reserve a table up to a maximum of eight seats for the evening of your choice while at the same time supporting your local theatre company.   Please note that starting this year that ITR is adopting an advanced ticket reservation for patrons only.  What this means is that our box office will open to our patrons two weeks ahead of our regular ticket sales.  Our box office will officially open to patrons on March 1st and then March 15th for general sales.

For more information about becoming a patron please go to our website at www.itrtheatrecompany.com

YOU ARE INVITED TO OUR PRODUCTION MEETING!

To be held on Wednesday February 6th at 7:30 p.m. at 5488 Osgoode Main St.

Isle in the River Review is always looking for volunteers who share our passion for theatre.  It’s a wonderful way to be involved in what you love to do while at the same time being an integral part of your community.

We will need help for our upcoming production in the areas of Front of House, Dinner Theatre, Sound and Lighting, Makeup and much more and would encourage you to come out to our upcoming meeting to see what we are all about! Also, don’t forget if you are a student who requires community service hours, this would definitely apply.

CALLING ALL DIRECTORS AND PRODUCERS!

Isle in the River Review is currently trying to plan ahead for our 2008 Season.  We encourage anyone who has an interest in taking on one of the most challenging but rewarding roles as director or even producer to contact us.  If you have experience and have thought that you might like to direct one of our upcoming productions we want to talk to you!  If you do not have experience don’t let that dissuade you, we can certainly discuss apprenticing.

Scripts are usually chosen in advance but if enough notice is given you are welcome to come to us with your own ideas.
